CN is pleased with the Federal Government’s decision to approve the Milton Logistics Hub, following an extensive environmental review including an independent joint Review Panel. The Project has been approved with 325 conditions designed to protect the community and the environment.
We would like to thank all three levels of government, Indigenous leaders, CN customers, the community, business groups, and other stakeholders who participated in the review process and provided their input. We would also like to thank the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, The Six Nations of the Grand River, and the Huron-Wendat-Nation for their participation in this process.
CN is committed to ongoing engagement, and will be implementing and seeking feedback on a Community Liaison Communication process to share information and address feedback through construction and operation.
CN has listened carefully and refined the project based on feedback from multiple sources in order to minimize impacts and maximize benefits to those affected by this project. We are aware that some parties have differing views about the Project, and will continue to move forward to engage with all members of the community in a respectful manner.
We are committed to moving forward to seek the required permits to develop this much-needed and fully self-funded project. With the implementation of the legally binding conditions and CN’s commitment to mitigation, this is expected to be our most environmentally advanced terminal in North America.
